hey everyone,
Im going to Berlin with my bf for 4 days, can anyone recommend any good restaurants/bars?
Also Im really into doing the touristy things, would love some advice on where is good to go.
Thanks a mill
Nadine.
Hi Nadine!
Good Choice to go Berlin!
You might like some of these sightseeings:
- Alexanderplatz
- Checkpoint Charlie
- Berliner Mauer
- Kurfürsterdamm, this is biggest shopping boulevard in Berlin! (I don´t know whether your boyfriend likes shopping, but it´s really worth a visit)
- Brandenburger Tor, it´s the only city gate which still exists.
- You should visit the Jewish Museum or/and the Holocaust Monument, it´s very impressive.
- Potzdammer Platz
And believe me, there is so much more to see in Berlin.
Berlin has a lot to offer you in terms of good restaurants.
I will just mention you a few:
- Saigon and More (Asian)
- Marjellchen (German)
- Tabeyo (Japan)
- Trattoria del Corso (Italian)
- Vox (Asian, European, very diverse)
- Mar y Sol (Spanish Tapas)
- Mirchi Restaurants
Nice locations to go out for dinner are for examle: Kreuzberg and Penzlauerberg (in these areas are also some nice bars to go out!)
Good luck and I hope I helped you! If you have any more questions, don´t hestitate to ask me!

At Alexanderplatz check out the box office of Hekticket, you can somtimes pick up cheap last minute tickets there at around 1 pm for the same evening.
for bars checkout Oranienburger Straße. Theres a few good bars there, one outdoor art gallery and beer garden
Hey Nadine,
Definitely fab choice of places - I loved Berlin.
Some slightly off-beat suggestions are:
- Dr. Pong, Prenzlauerberg
It's a bar which revolves around the ping pong table. Mass game of ping pong in which everyone can join in. Decor can only be described as 'stripped bare', but atmosphere is amazing.
- Weineri
I recall there are several of these in Berlin. It's an interesting concept where you pay 1 euro on entry and get given a wine glass. You'll then be offered as much food & wine as you can eat/drink. The final bill is whatever you think the meal deserved. Be honest though!
The catch - these places have no signs on them, you'll have to ask around. I think there was one somewhere near Dr. Pongs!
- Tacheles Artist Block
An amazing building at the centre of Berlin's art world. Houses a cafe and you can visit the artist's galleries. Check out google images for pictures. Here's some more info I found on it:

Enjoy!
