im travelling on my own as well. i was told (and i believe it too) that this will be the time of your life!
Im covering some of the same areas as you do potentially for the same times, maybe we can meet up for a coffee.

As are so many peeps on these forums so don't worry too much about it. It should, and it will be the most exciting thing I've ever done and I cannot wait for it to start!
I'll be doing the US of A first and then heading down to South America for 2.5 months but am happy to hook up in the States if that's at all possible?

As Craig said, the majority of people I've spoken to have travelled or are travelling alone so you should be fine! Make sure you don't back out.. so when you get back you can make your drop out friend insanely jealous!!
I'm travelling with a friend, starting off in LA too and flying on 19 June!! So if you want to meet up while you're there so you don't feel alone let me know... think we're staying around Venice Beach for the first few days

Christmas 09 my friend and I were suppose to travel to NYC and Miami together and she dropped out only a week prior to travel. I was really upset but didn't want to miss the great opportunity to see these places so I traveled on my own and had the best time!!
And in 6 weeks time I'll be on the road again..on my own..this time Thailand, Japan and China!

Thank you soo much everyone, people have said all good things no one has said don't go...So i will listen to everyone and go for it.! i just feel like i shouldnt miss out becuase of someone else.! Thank you for all your comments, very appricated I hope you all have great trips!!

So then everyone, i plan to fly from New Orleans to the west coast around mid June too so could also be in LA around the 20th? P.A.R.T.Y? I've got until the 6th of July to do the WC sights! LA, Cali, San Fran etc etc.
Adam, where are you staying mate? Have you booked places yet? Venice beach sounds awesome!

Not booked anywhere yet dude, figure i'll book the first few nights at a hostel around Venice Beach and go from there...
