Has anyone been to a Dude Ranch they can recommend? Any that are off the beaten track so to speak? Looking for something that is fun, great experience and great location!
I suggest picking one near Yellowstone National park (in Wyoming or Montana)--since being able to visit Yellowstone, Grand Tetons and also Jackson Hole as well as the dude ranch makes things fun. Another option is to pick ones near Sequoia national park in California.

If you want to do the cattle drives, then go to Texas--but realize that in the summer months, Texas weather can be quite brutal compared to Wyoming, or Montana.
