taking medications with you

Hi

Hello!

You should not have any problem taking medicines. Even if they search your bags, you can explain them what it is. So, have no worries at all.

I have also been carrying loads of medicine and been searched but never had any problem.

Most difficult countries might be US or Australia. So, if you carry any paper from the doctor, they should accept that. Plus, note: you can always find pharmacies all over the world to buy extra.

Have a great trip!

Cheers! thought about getting a doctors note, just wasnt sure if thats all i 'd require.

Yeah US & OZ are 2 of the destinations i will be going to. So will bring enough to get me started along with a doctor's note.

Hopefully that ll do the trick!

:-)

I've also been wondering the same thing! Imagined myself turning up in Bangkok having to explain loads of medication in my bag!! I'm spending the bulk of my trip in Oz too, am hoping prescriptions aren't too expensive over there.

Have you managed to get an insurer to cover your pre-existing medical condition? I got my STA insurance before I had developed any health problems, but they don't cover you for any conditions you have/develop before you travel. Don't like to think that I won't be covered for every possible eventuality.

Hi again,

In Bangkok you should have no problem at all.

I heard OZ custom is very strict on taking food and other agricultural products into the country. And they do check the bags. So, be a bit more prepared.

US customs are also strict, but when I was flying with my medicines they did not ask any question at all.

Hope this helped.
