So, in about two weeks myself and a few friends are setting off to Iran. We've had many recommendations and tips from Iranians living abroad, but lack the backpacker point of view! As all our money needs to be in cash, I'd be interested in knowing how much money people reserved per day for travelling around and basic hotel accommodation. We'll cross the border by land from Turkey, and need to change money asap once on Iranian side. Is it safe, or are there scams to be aware of?
