I'm a tourist myself, so I may not be the best source, but I keep a blog that logs my experiences in Madrid/Spain. I love Madrid and think there's loads to see & do here, but I've heard Barcelona is also incredible... I'm planning to go visit it sometime in May.

If you have already been to Spain many times then why don't you try Italy this time. It will be a whole new experience this time, since you are so much into cuisines (Italian cuisine is one of the best in the world! :D), history and culture.
