Just a booked a holiday for next year travelling to Florida paid £1000. Have got approved ETSAs for all of us however my partner was sentenced 14 years ago for threats with an imitation fire arm, he pleaded not guilty but was found guilty and served a year, he's also got in minor fights in his early years. The problem is it's minefield out their of conflicting stories about whether to enter using the VISA waiver program or apply for a b2 visa. We don't want to lose our deposit or see our son so upset because his dad is being questioned by US officials on arrival to the country. Can any help?
If you are honest and tell them, you will quite likely not be allowed in the country and put on the next plane home.
If you don't tell them, they won't know. Your call.
(This is according to what I've read. I'm no expert, just a traveller.)
Do Not, I Repeat, Do Not Go To The US Embassy, and Try To Get A Visa!!
They Will Deny You Of Any Offense, Because It Will Be Classified As A Moral Turpitude Offense It Covers Over 100'S Of Offensives, I Have Had This Experience Less Than A Month Ago! I Was Convicted 8 Years Ago, Now A Complete Changed Man With A Full Time Job and House, I Was Denied As The USA Has Clamped Down On This Type Of Crime, However Moral Turpitude Covers Everything!
Travel On ESTA, If You Go To The Embassy You Are Only Open A Can Of Worms!! Believe Me, I Have Many Friends WITH Criminal Convictions Who Has Been To The States Without Mention, Yet I'm Honest And Choose Too And Was Denied!
Do Not Go To Embassy If You Have No Warrants You Will Sail Through The US Government Do Not Have Access To UK Police Records!
This Is Advice, Take It!! I Have Been Advised To Pay £1500 For A Lawyer To Overturn This Decision, Yet It's In Black And White What I Did, There Is Nothing More The Lawyer Can Do! It's All A Big Scam As The Lawyer That Has Been Advised By The US Embassy To Use Is In The Same Square/Road!
