Florida Christmas Day

Hello fellow travellers!

I've been there for Christmas and new year. If your there for new year I suggest you try celebrations. The fireworks and music went on for ages and bringing the new year in was amazing.

The "celebrations" Jordan refers to are on the beach (Miami Beach) on Christmas Day. Other places to go and things to see in Florida are:

The Everglades National Park
Florida Keys (southermost islands) and the city of Key West
Cape Canaveral (where all the rockets are launched from)
Church Street Station (in downtown Orlando)
Orange Bowl Parade and football game (on January 1st, 2016)
Airboat rides (near the southeastern portion of The Everglades--usually located near Alligator Farms (which will be heavily advertised if you drive the highways in this area).

Enjoy.

No the celebrations I'm talking about is in Orlando it's a Disney village in or near down town I think in Kissimmee ? Fireworks, lights fake snow machines, music over the lake really is incredible way to bring in the new year.

There are fireworks in both EPCOT and in Disney World. Both start at either 8 or 9 PM. Check with the Disney people for exact times.

Also, there is a Disney Downtown section that do celebrations. At one time, they used to pretend that it was New Years Eve every single day of the year. (Don't think they do this anymore). Just check with Disney--they love to send their guests (or potential guests) tons of information about the parks and all the activities at all of the parks and Disney properties.
