For those still looking for places to hang out on New Year's eve, the following are still available :
All night dance party at Verboten in Brooklyn, the AMC theatre overlooking Times Square is having movies up until 11 pm, then all concession stands become lounges until after midnight. Other spots are Lava, and also Tao Uptown. Lastly, the Grosvenor Park (not sure about the spelling) are hosting parties in their 6 lounges where one price allows you to go to all 6 while watching the festivities outside.
