hi guys i need some advice im planning to go travelling for 6 months my plan is UK to Dubai (not sure if this a stop over or a stay) Singapore (3 days) , new Zealand (4 weeks) oz (4 weeks) Fiji (1 week) Bali (1 week) and possibly china or Japan for one week before heading home, do you think i would be safe on my own? were would you go? see and do? im not into museums. im a massive foodie and i love experiencing different cultures.
You're not mad whatsoever. Millions of travellers do it solo. None of the destinations you mention are difficult, with the exception of some parts of China they all have hordes of tourists. Use common sense and you'll be fine.
Have fun with your research.
Cheers,
Terry
Hi Suzy,
I wish I could do that by myself. I am too scared of travelling alone. I think you will be fine. I am looking for a travel partner to do Asia and Australia/New Zealand with me. Are you interested in travelling those places with someone else? I realize we don't know eachother so you may be a bit hesitant but I promise I am not psycho. Lol. We could definitely meet first before we travelled. Would you be interested? And if so where are you from?
NZ is very similar to the UK in regard to females traveling alone. You ought to feel pretty safe but caution is required at night or in remote areas. Most are fine but there are odd stories, particularly about tourists alone in the less populated areas of the South Island. If you're sensible and can find others to travel with at times, you'll be fine. Enjoy New Zealand!
Hi no your not mad at all! Its the best way to do it and thats what I did myself , You will meet loads of interesting people and never have to worry about doing what someone else wants to do .
I met many femail backpackers and swapped stories with them. Hostels are the best places to meet
What an amazing trip you planned! you are defiantly not mad at all! i have done it myself a few years ago.
Dubai is heaven on earth, i enjoyed it so much! i hope it is not a stop over and you will stay a couple of days.
I have lived in Japan for a year and i think you should not miss it if you are already in this part of the world - it is nothing like i have seen before - and i have traveled a lot.
Enjoy and stay safe!
