Traveling Pan-American Hwy.

Just if you are carious where the name Guano Man came from, I am a helicopter pilot and few years back, I had to do an emergency landing, due to the bad weather, and I literally landed in....shit:-)
But this is not a reason I am here. I would like to drive the Pan-American Hwy. all the way to Tierra del Fuego and back to California. I did the northern part many years back.
Being adventurous as I am, Polish if that's explain few things and ready to explore the last uncivilized parts of this planet (Mt. Everest has too much foot traffic), I am interested to cross the Darien Gap from Panama to Colombia, by land.
I have heard that this seems to be impossible but I also have heard about some people who successfully done that.
Is any one out there who could give me an information about that region; anyone who has done it and anyone who would be interested in doing that?
I am in the process of preliminary research on the subject and I would like to embark on the journey by the fall of 2016, although that all depends on the climate and weather of the region.
It can only be attempted in dry season.
If anybody is interested talking to me, please send me an e-mail at.... ; well on the forum as I cannot post my e-mail address. Yes; I go to Baja all the time for the past 25 years:-), but that is more like my little send box to play in.
