Do you want to make a trip to other places in vietnam such as Mekong delta?
Sure. I'm open to any suggestions. We were thinking to stay south and not travel too far north since we only have 2 weeks.
I think you can make a trip like this to explore the mekong delta. It just takes one week or less. There are several destinations you can aim for (in order): tien giang, can tho, phu quoc island --- cambodia.
yes i also think that you need to go to the mekong delta. If you love photography you will be happy there. There are many interesting things, lifestyle and people there. I'm a local vietnamese guys. Just PM me to get help :D

If you come Southern Vietnam, You can spending 4 days visiting Southern Vietnam as the intinerary bellow:
D1: arrival Hochiminh city ( called Saigon) - which is a largest city in Vietnam. - city tour half day. Highlight: The former Presidential Palace, Notre Dame Cathedral, Central Post Office and city Hall. dinner - free time and overnight in Hochiminh city.
D2: Hochiminh - Mekong Delta (My Tho Province): You should book a boat trip (open tour) (about: 20 -30 usd/pax include: transportation, boat, sampan trip, lunch, tourguide). After lunch, you comeback Hochiminh city- shopping (Ben Thanh market - local market). Dinner.
D3: Hochiminh - Cu Chi Tunnels: Cu Chi tunnels is system underground, you have a amazing tour . lunch and comeback Hochiminh city - visit Thein Hou Temple in China town. Dinner.
D4: Hochiminh city : free and easy and departure.
If you have more time on Vietnam. you can visit Phuquoc island - so beautiful. You can spend 2 days or 3 days visiting Phuquoc island.

You are looking for travel in Vietnam. I would suggest to go Ha Long Bay. It's a lovely place. Here, you see natural beauty, type of islands. It has around 120 Km long coast line. This is the best place to making fun with couple.
