I am 19 years old currently planning to travel with my girlfriend to India throught to Thailand and Vietnam. I just wanted to know the best and cheapest way to travel from India to Thailand? i.e where in India to travel from to get to Thailand?

I'm also going from India to Thailand and I have found that flying from Kolkatta to Bangkok is the cheapest - around £50-60! I don't remember how long the flight takes now, but you can put that journey into google and check it out
There are several inexpensive entry points to Bangkok from India, so Kolkata isn't the only option.

Note that Bangkok has two airports. Suvarnabhumi (BKK) and Don Mueang (DMK). Discount airline AirAsia flies to the latter. Transportation into the city may be more convenient from BKK.
AirAsia's flights from India to Bangkok usually stop first in Kuala Lumpur. But there are a couple of nonstop flights, including from Bengaluru and Chennai.
Plot an itinerary with the travellerspoint.com mapping tool, then hunt for flights. With many airlines and routes, there are options to consider.
I would suggest you to take flight from Chennai, one of the beautiful capital city to BKK Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport. That would Cost you less...It would really help if you will let me know the month of travelling...
