It doesn't take long at all. I gave my passport to my hostel to sort out the visa, and paid in baht. It only took a few days I think as I went down to the beaches for 4/5 days and it was ready when I came back to bangkok.
A fsmall tip... Make sure you change your money in Yangon, and get enough for the whole of your time there- as you will find it very difficult to change money anywhere else. You will need to change US dollars, make sure they are in perfect condition and higher denominations.

Visa for Myanmar, via Myanmar Embassy Bangkok, it's more easier to get, It's will take three day to get it and costs a round $ 25 to 30. Better to go yourself to the Myanmar Embassy in Bangkok.
