It seems your doctor is right. You are travelling a zone where it will not be raining and its safe to assume it wont be risky....Usually on the interneet or people post the view what they been told, or read...I am staying in Mumbai and i can say from my experience that its not to be worried about...You can safely assume, its no needed.
I 100% agree with him!
This medicine is just bad for your health anyway. I was living 2.5 years in India and would in no way recommend this medication.
Even you take it you would in the very unlike case of a malaria infection unusually still get malaria just you have longer time to reach medical treatment. Now the coverage of medical facilities in India is very good ... especially in the places you want to visit!
First of all you wont get malaria!
Second enjoy your vacation without even thinking about it!
And third ... don't but those chemical shit into your body!
Have a happy life ;o)
You do not need anti malaria tablets . Live normally while in India and Enjoy. I am assuming that you will not stay and sleep in the beach whole night .
And if the above confirmation is not enough or in doubt - what does your government website advise?
Yeah that's the problem. The NHS say that you need to take anti-malarial tablets for Goa so im probably going to go with that
I spent two weeks in Delhi (in December) and didn't take any anti-malarials

There are always plenty of people who say that they never take them. Perhaps they never have innoculations against cholera/typhoid/tetanus/hepatitis etc as well? After all, it's logical that if someone has never contracted malaria before that they can not possibly do so in future....isn't it?!
It's a matter of risk 442. For the sake of £15, I do follow NHS advice rather than gamble. I think you're right to go with our NHS advice.
By the way... side effects are not guaranteed. Personally, my daughter and I have not had any whatsoever from Paludrine+Avloclar (recommended for Goa) during our visits.
(Another always/usually/sometimes/never debate?)
Keep your body clean ....
