New to this and trying to work out how to upload photos from iPad to my blog. Have turned off pop-up blocker and the photo uploader still doesn't allow me to choose any files. Have tried emailing the photos from the iPad, but is suspect that not the right file format. Help. Was only planning to have iPad and iPhone while travelling.
iOS doesn't give websites access to its file system, so the file selection option will never work. The workaround is to have an app do the uploading.
I'd suggest using our mobile site - http://m.travellerspoint.com - if you blog there, it ties the uploading into a third party app. That will then upload the photos and then redirect you back to your blog entry.
It is possible to upload pictures from iOS devices using the way described by Peter. I successfully uploaded pictures and ram my blog while travelling last year only using an Ipad, but to be honest it´s really somewhat cumbersome. I really hope one day travellerspoint will have its own app. That would really be awesome!
Thanks for this assistance. I have managed to install Aurigma - but not sure of the "Upload URL" and "Redirect URL" to enter in the settings in Aurigma. Any assistance much appreciated.
You need to go through the mobile site's upload process.
To do this:
- click on the Blog tab
- start a new entry
- click on +Photos
At that point there is an upload link. Once we know you have Aurigma installed, clicking on that link will take you straight to app where you can upload the photos. The Upload URL and Redirect Url are both filled in for you.
Hope that helps!
