A lot of folks just fill in the address of their hostel or possibly the poste restante in Sydney. I am not sure if Commonwealth still sends out anything on paper, but they used to. I'd hope you can just say you don't want any paper statements in today's day and age, but banks never cease to amaze me

I opted for email correspondence but will they not need to post me a bank card out etc? x
no when you arrive you must go to the bank and activate your account you have 3 months from opening the account in most banks to do this or the money will be sent back to the account it was sent from and you will incur a fee
when you arrive at the bank you have to provide id ie. passport ,etc
they will give your card there and then
