I'd say cross the Channel to England and travel around for a few weeks. Lots and lots of places to see.
There are places to visit in France in better weather but not that time of year when it can be very cold, wet and windy and even snowing.

Agree with Cyberia. Spend few weeks in London/England. Many places to visit in London and outside London.
You may visit central London to see Westminster Abbey, the Tower of London, the House of Parliament, Big Ben and Buckingham Palace; and some other places outside London like in Stonehenge and visit old Roman town, the Bath.
