we are wanting to hire an RV from El Monte RV in Los Angelas. We are looking at the gold package, but not sure if this deal covers all our insurance, so we know we are covered completely to drive the RV. If anyone has had any dealings with this please reply soon as we need to book.

Normally quoted rental prices do not include the insurance, unless you can find it in the fine print? You also need to check with your credit card company/bank to see what insurance that covers, and if you have your own car insurance, chances are that covers a portion. Remember that a hold will be placed on your cr card for a specified amount when you book - in other words, you need to have a cr limit large enough to cover the hold as well as your normal balance. Remember that these days rented vehicles have GPS equipment installed for the company's security, and if you attempt driving 'out of bounds', you might see a hefty fine when you pay the bill.
Great comments from Daawgon. One other thing--be aware that US insurance (and any insurance you buy in a place like the UK or Australia) is not valid in Mexico. For that reason, either buy before heading into Mexico--or my recommendation--especially if you have a valuable RV--don't drive into Mexico at all. Better to buy a cheap car if you are going across the border and get Mexican insurance for it at the border (or through the rental car company).
And keep in mind Daawgon's comment--if your rental car company hasn't authorized you taking the RV into Mexico or into another state--don't be surprised if you get a hefty fine at the end when you check it back in.
Thanks to you both for all the advice..this is the 1st time I've ever been on a forum site, so all the help and advice is greatly received. Thankfully we're not heading towards Mexico, were travelling to San Francisco then across to Yosemite national park then back down to Los Angela's. just need to find some cheap flights this weekend then booking.
