I can't seem to get the Bulk Image Uploader to work - I've tried it on my PC at home, my PC at work, and on two different MACs (OS: 10.7.5; Safari: v6.0.2; Firefox: v18.0.1) at home, but the box either does not appear at all or comes up empty, so I can't even tell whether I'm missing a plug-in, or which one. Please help!
The bulk image uploader is using java, which has (once again) been silently disabled by Apple on Mac OS X 10.6 and higher. On the PCs I suspect your java version is out of date, which causes Firefox to disable it; you can check if that's indeed the case by visiting with Firefox.
Yeah, java is a bit of a pain right now!! Here in Norway half the population can't get into their banking systems... I for one would love it for that system to go away. Peter mentioned in that there are some alternatives, but nothing ready to go right away, so making the switch is rather a pain. I'll drop him an email to ask what the status is, in case he doesn't see this thread soon.

Hi all, yes we need to swap this out and get rid of relying on Java.
We do have another uploader on our mobile site that you could try using.

But be warned, that is very basic (it exists for tesitng purposes, not actual use). It should upload, but things like detecting location / dates / rotating automatically might not work. And after uploading it doesn't redirect to the photos to edit them. Still, it should at least allow you to upload a lot of files a lot more quickly than using the single uploader! And the code used there is basically what we would be looking at replacing the current Java one with.
I've been using the single uploader, but it is only uploading blanks! Was working fine just last night.
