Hey Guys,
Hey ninako,
Do you know when will you be in Shangai?as i'm planning a trip there (i'm currently on a RTW trip since february 2013 and livign in Thailand at the moment), let me know, in case we could meet or only to exchange experiences! It will be a GREAT adventure trust me! even if traveling solo, you're never really alone. About India, i want to go there and i know of girls who've been there alone. It all depends on how you feel about it. Maybe as a first country it is a big hard (so they say)...and having someone with you could help a bit with the cultural chock (i had it a bit in Thailand, i can't imagine what india could be!)
Cheers
Kle
Hey Kle,
thanks a lot for your reply. As I've been in Vietnam last year for about four months, I already made some experiences with the "cultural shock". However, I do know some people who spent a holiday in India and they told me that's quite unsecure for women to travel alone...so I'm not so sure about that. I'm a "full-hearted positive" person, but I guess I would feel a bit more comfortable with someone joining me, even if it's only one week that I want to spend in india.
Concerning Shanghai, I want to be there in the beginning of april 2014. As I already read in some forums that it's enough to spend about 4-7 days there, I will do so aswell. Would be really great to catch up somewhere I'm really open minded and looking forward to everyone joining or meeting all around the globe!
Hope to see you somewhere. Cheers, N

Hey sneha,
thanks for your help. I really would be glad if I had someone joining me during my few days in India. Especially it would be a great support if I could travel with someone who's already familiar with the culture etc.
Would you generally say that it is dangerous for a western female to travel alone in India? I thought about flying to Delhi, spending some days there and to make a trip to Agra, to see the Taj Mahal. So I would be in India for about 6-10 days. Is it enough? Do you have any other recommendations?
Thanks a lot. Cheers, N
hi tis is danny from goa india. i can help u. pl let me know if i can join u on ur tour to india along wth my gf.
Hey guys
Thanks for your offer guiding me through India. I now finally decided to book an guided tour for international youths for about 8 days I guess that might be the best solution for me. But thanks anyway for your help.
Cheers, N
World tour gives you the idea of how the world is different in its kinds. Wherever you visit just make sure you have done all the arrangements before. It will decrease the chances of getting harsh memories of your journey. Do travel with care. Best of luck for your journey.
Traveling to any Nation may come up as surprise of being it unsafe..India is not an exception though the number of cases are quite high....
Well what you can do is make it as a planned journey, keep your embassy informed about the places where you're moving so that it would be easier for you to get in touch with them in time of crisis...
Govt of India has launched women helpline number 1091, Police control room no 100 add this in your mobile speed dialing, while you're in India.
Well I would advice you to take strict precautions while traveling to any of the cities, while you would be in India for 9 days, and as you have planned Agra, you can plan to go to Fatehpur Sikri, Vrindavan, Rajasthan and again back to Delhi and take a flight to HK... It would be advisable if you can join a group of tourist who are already planing for such tours in India which will not only decrease the hassle of booking and other things like foods, tickets, permits etc.
Hope it helps... you can get in touch with some of the Indian female members of this group and get in touch with them as you're in India so that they can help you in case you find any difficulties.

Thanks parisharma and vaibhavm23,
I know that traveling always brings some danger with it, but I do of course try to arrange everything that I need i advance. I guess that's the best you can do. Of course, I will travel with precaution, but I think that keeping the positive facts and emotions in the foreground will help me aswell
Thanks for your posts As it is still some time left for my journey to begin, I will take it to arrange everything as good as I can.
Cheers,N
