I"ve booked flights from London to Sydney on the 9th Feb. I'm going to be in Australia until May, then going over to New Zealand aswell. I too have very little knowledge about the areas!!!
I'm pretty reluctant to arrange and book stuff other than flights because you never know what's going to happen!

I booked it through SKA travel on there web sight there pretty good. Think that's the only way to be really take each day as it comes. I'd be over there now but just need a bit more dollar... You planning on working?

Yep going on my todd can't wait. I'm planning on NZ at the same sort of time. North Island interests my more from what I've seen but also skiing on the South Island. You on your own? Are you planning on work?

Me too, felt extremely bold when I booked the flights! Are you anticipating it being a year you're away for?
I'll be in New Zealand for a month but have been told the South is better? Who knows...but it's definitely where I'm going to do a sky dive and want to do the Glaziers too. I'm then heading off to Fiji for a 2 week "holiday", then on to SE Asia.
Have you travelled before?
