Be aware that up north (Brisbane and above), that time of year (generally December through March) will be the wet season. That means a very high chance of unpleasantly high humidity, and torrential rain. Survivable, obviously, and (as with all weather) not a certain thing, but definitely something to keep in mind.

I'm planning the same trip...so if u would like could be great to meet there..I'm going to Australia alone the same period, just decided to take a break from work and have a great experience there for few months...I'm going to buy flight tickets this week, probably arriving in Sidney on the 7th of February, from Italy I was thinking about Ozintro agency for the first week in Sidney could be useful and then move and visit places along the east coast do you already know where to stay?

yeah I was hoping to do the ozintro as well sounds like it would be a good experience, haven't decided were to stay yet heard good things about wake up hostel so was thinking maybe there
