Help! South America for 3 months, is this doable?

I am planning a 3 month trip May - August 2014. I am keen to meet people, see as many 'undiscovered' sites as possible whilst getting in some good trekking and skiing. My plans are totally basic atm so could really do with some advice!

Hi Tris B.

How are you doing.

Well, i sincerly dont know how i cAme to read this post on this website. Actually i know, it was while i was searching infos of traveling to southest asia. We always have so many questions to make.

Anyway, i am away from my country now, and i am brazillian. I have been arround europe for some time.

I have been in some destinations as chile, bolivia and argentina before. I didnt understand what you meant by being a nightmare. All of the SOuth american countries are very diferent, but i am pretty sure you wont be in a bad situation at all. Trust your tries, and probably your gonna find paths easily from a lota of tourists that are already there.

and yes it is doable, but keep in mind that there is gonna be a lot of changes from one country to another.

Well. funny is that i logged in just to answer you request.

Here is my gmail email: -snip- (dont know if i can post it here fully, got it?)

"use me" for any questions you need, I will try to answer and and give you a light if i can. Anytime.

A great hug from france

Gabriel,

Thanks for your message, it is very kind!

I say nightmare in terms of prices and number of tourists- I am wanting to avoid majorly touristy sports as much as possible. So actually if you can recommend anywhere like that, that would be cool.

Do you think I would seriously miss out if I did not do Brazil?

If you have any questions about S.E.A, I could help as have spent a lot of time there- feel free to message me.

A great hug back!

Yes, you will miss out if you do not do Brazil It's a massive country. If you don't want to hit the FIFA rush, avoid RIO (though I would not do such) and just visit other cities. Brazil is one of the most diverse and gigantic countries in the world. It's quite a special place in my opinion.

If you love the outdoors. When you get to Bogotá, ask about a place called Suezca. It's really cool and only about an hour away (Colombian hour mind you. lol). There's hiking, mt biking, rock climbing and camping. Nothing too spectacular (compared to say Colorado, not even) but a really special place none the less. Great little town with extremely social people.

I hear Ecuador has some killer Andes Recreation, but haven't explored that part myself.

un abrazo. lol. (doesn't sound the same in English.. jajaja).
