I am Gyan and I came here to Sweden in student visa. I am a Nepalese citizen. I am in a very delicate situation and I need your best advices I can get. My visa had been rejected for extension because of my insufficient study credits. But anyway, I needed to finish my studies. So, I planned to stay here till I finish my studies. Therefore, I had to over stay here. I have overstayed a little more than 7 months. Now I have completed my studies and we want/need to go back home/Nepal. But we are a little worried about the situation at airports in Sweden and other transit airports that I may have while I travel from here.
Get letters from your teachers to show that you stayed to finish your study courses (and not for frivolous reasons). Tell immigration that if you had left you would not have had the money to come back and finish your studies. Tell them this will now allow you to get a good job back home so you can support your family. Show that you stayed with the best of intentions.
You will be allowed to leave Sweden OK but maybe not get back in again. Be nice to immigration. Do not lie to them or it will be worse if found out. They have discretion in such matters so may let you off. There should be no fine.
In transit you do not do go through immigration again. If they look at your passport it will only be for identification purposes for your onward flights.
@Cyberia, Thank you for the prompt reply. I really appreciate it. Will I have any problem with my luggage or other personal stuffs like my laptop and DSLR, the money that I may carry with me or in the bank which would be very little though :P ? What about my passport will it be stamped with some negative information which might have impact on my future travels.

They would most probably fine you for the overstay - just keep in mind, the fines are huge for that! As you stayed over 7 months, which is a pretty long period, they may give you a ban from the Schengen Zone (which from the information that I read from the Internet, is 1 to 3 years, which is pretty kind from them as I know the bans for overstaying some other countries, are way longer). But probably the worst thing is that they may put in on your criminal record and you may have problems entering or getting visas not only back to the Schengen Zone, but also for example to the US and Canada.
