Feeder stats tell me I have one subscription to my blog.
I might be wrong about this, but: Subscriptions from travellerspoint's perspective are people who've signed up on your blog to get an email whenever you post something. We don't keep those stats for people who follow your blog through your feed (as it's hard to come even close to giving accurate stats for that, with the different types of feed readers out there); that's what feedburner is for.
Fans and friends are profile-related, not blog-related. Fans are people who've marked you as a friend. Friends are people who've done that, and who you have marked back. Who you're a fan of is public information; who is a fan of you isn't. Here's . There's 60 "friends" (people he's a "fan" of, and who are a "fan" of him), 15 people he's a "fan" of who aren't reciprocating that (I'm amongst them, since I don't like social networking features like this), and an (to us) unknown number of people who're a fan of him, but for whom he isn't reciprocating that.
This feature isn't used for a whole lot, but it allows you to easily see who amongst a group of people is online, and to send private messages to multiple recipients (if they've all marked you as a friend).
To become a fan of someone, go to their profile, and click on "Add as friend" in the top-left list of information.
Hi,
Thanks - i think i understand that.
Steve
