I also have similar plans, im landing in sydney the end of september after 2 months travelling round asia. Was thinking of trying to get a job in fruit picking for 3 months so i am eligable for a 2nd WHV and then travelling around australia, darwin and the gold coast are definatly on my list of places to go.
How long are you planning on staying in Aus for?

Thanks for getting in touch! ahh great! Im not certain the exact dates when I will be landing in aus but definetly starting in Sydney! Would be great to meet up and go travel to Darwin ect! I would also love to do a bit of farm work alongside nursing! do you know how much you will be taking to aus? Heard it expensive!

Yeh would def be up for meeting up :-) am thinking of maybe gettin a few people together getting a camper van and just travelling along the gold coast until we get bored (although im sure its prity hard to get bored in Aus lol) ur welcome to join if it does happen :-)
Iv heard its expensive also and that worries me a little but then there is always ways around it like couch surfing, the campervan idea as could just sleep in the van or a tent and ovs working when ever i need money. At the moment it looks like i should hopefully have atleast 6k, would prefer to have 10k before i leave but im already working 3 jobs to fund my travels so dosent look like it will happen lol :-)
Where in thailand are you going?? are you planning on going to the fullmoon party while you are there?
Im in Thailand until 28th sep i think and will be island hoping for the last month im there (aswell as going to the fullmoon party in sep)

I'm going out to Sydney in early September. Getting a camper van and surfing/driving/working my way up the gold coast to Darwin because I have family there.
I have a friend who has just finished his first year in Oz and he only took 10k for him AND his girlfriend. They were fine and even splashed out on trips like Fraser Island ($1000) I think if you're not afraid of hard work (3 jobs sounds like you're not haha) you can earn plenty of money.
That said, i'm still shitting myself about going alone

That sounds like a good plan :-) alot of people have said i should def go to Darwin on my travels :-) Are you gettin a WHV? how long you staying in aus for?
yeh alot of people have said the same to be honest, iv looked into fruit picking pearl farming which looks like hard work but quite interesting so might give that a go if there is any jobs going :-)
I am also quite nervous about going on my own especially as i am spending 2 months in asia before hand but hopefully once i get out there it will be fine and will probably wonder what all the fuss was about going on my own :-)
