Is it me, or does the forum layout does look different since today?
Yeah, new look. Main reason for this change is to allow it to work at all screen sizes, including tablets and mobile phones.
The photo moderating bug is not related. No idea what that is.. I'll check a bit later on.
With the forum layout made responsive, I notice on my desktop that the width of the forums is wider than the header & footer. It looks a little odd that way - especially the left hand side of the header & menu, and footer.
In the responsive layout, I wanted to allow more room for the content. However, since we're not doing the entire site at once, I also didn't want a hugely jarring jump from responsive to non-responsive pages.
I felt the slight width change of the content is not particularly jarring, but a change in the width of the navigation would be.
Once the transition to responsive is (mostly) complete, it would make sense to widen the header across the site. Still going to be a while off though - rolling this out in other parts of the site is quite a bit harder than in the forums.

I noticed earlier today that going to www.travellerspoint.com on my mobile redirected me to the old mobile site - m.travellerspoint.com I was going to say that forums doesn't seem to be a menu option now. However on checking again just now there was no redirection to that mobile version of the site - resulting in sideway scrolling to view the site.
If you go to www.travellerspoint.com and haven't visited before with that browser on a mobile, then you will be redirected (only if it's a page we have implemented on the mobile site).
If you then click on the "Full Site" link to return to Travellerspoint, then it remembers that and doesn't redirect you next time. This sounds like what happened in your case.

Yeah, I think I did click full site. What about a link to the forums though? I didn't see that in the menu, and a new person to TP wouldn't necessarily click full site.

The answer to that depends on if you want the forums available to all users, or only a percentage of them.
Well, the thing is there are plenty of things not linked from the mobile site (planner and map for example). The navigation there was really following what was available in mobile form.
But you're right - it's silly, I'll add it back in and just point it at the main site.
