I'm planning to stay in Sydney for a few weeks, i have a working hol visa so may look for work or travel somewhere else, either way i want to stay here for a bit. I've been in Australia 3 weeks so far but been in Melbourne too.

I'm currently on a farm on the NSW QLD boarder. I've got a place in Sydney that I'm moving to around the 6th March but will probably book into a hostel when I first arrive in Sydney. I'll getting the Greyhound down and am hoping to settle there until Aug. Have you made many friends so far? How are you finding Sydney?

I love Sydney! Have been quite a few times before, just got back from Melbourne & loved it there too. Have made a few friends in hostels along the way, but i've moved around quite a bit & now that i'm settling here in Sydney it would be good to meet ppl who are doing the same thing.
How have you found the place you're moving to on 6th March? I'm lookin for somewhere to rent as hostels can get expensive!

I loved Melbourne too, quite a relaxed atmosphere considering its a city. Just pretty cold for a lot of the year down there!
I found the place on Gumtree, I'm moving in with a family in Randwick, but there are lots of house shares on there too, party places, quite ones, long term and short term....I called a few up and everyone seemed nice, a lot are looking for a minimum of 3 month stay but some do say short term for a slightly higher rent (usually still cheaper than hostel prices).
What's the weather been like down there at the mo?

Ok cool, i'll check Gumtree out. Would be fab to find something for even 2 months or so. Spending a small fortune on hostels atm!
The weather down here right now is gorgeous! Really hot. Fingers crossed that it lasts!

Yea, hostels can get expensive quickly and you don't really get any privacy either.
I'm still trying to decide on that one, it could be the next few days or it could be a week or so, I need to find out what's happening with the farm work (we got a lot of rain so work is delayed!)
I'll let you know when I'll be arriving and if you want to, we could grab a coffee or something if your free?

Ah, that sounds like a plan....the hotels sometimes arnt that much more expensive than a hostel....it's crazy!! Hope you enjoy it.
