a while ago i made a couple of maps. they were on past trips that i had done. and also 1 map of a up and coming trip. i have logged in and found that all my maps except the latest one have disappeared. i know they were originally saved as i have been editing them. do we know why they have now gone.
Hmm, I don't really have any great way of seeing what might have happened to those trips. I'm going to review what happens with trips when they're deleted so that I have some better way of investigating a situation like this.

thank you for your reply. im starting again. on my past road trips and my 1 for this year. em .... where do i go on this site for more details on how to do the maps. i have got my route but it doesn't really give me the correct route. for instance we drove from Rothenberg Ob Der Tauber to Brugge but due to the curve it looks like i drove to Nothern Germany and back down again, also can i add photos to each of my stops
You can select the transport type departing each stop. If you select car it will draw a straight line instead of a curve. To make it more accurate, add more stops along the way. Unfortunately at the moment, it doesn't follow the road.
Photos can be added to your stops - you just need to upload photos and ensure they are geotagged to the same locations as on your trip. If you have dates for your trip stops, then you also should ensure your photos have the same dates.
I now have a better system in place for deleted trips, so I should always be able to recover a deleted trip if ever needed. Hopefully that helps someone in the future.
