a friend and I are actually planning to visit Thailand in the period of 7th-16th Aug. So far we finalized our flight tickets but haven't got around deciding on an itinerary. Jul-Oct is Monsoon season in some parts of Thailand including Phuket island. But I've heard that the weather in the Gulf side (Bangkok, Pattaya etc..) is great nowadays and almost no rain.
Haytham , my friend, is from Glasgow based in Dubai , and I work on offshore platforms in Saudi Arabia . We're planning to meet in Dubai and go from there. Only plan so far is fun fun fun , all what you mentioned above and more and we certainly don't mind fun loving company.
