Headed to Koh Tao and would love to do my open water certificate. Can anyone recommend a certification course in the area? Looking for friendly guides and a great environment.

I did my PADI course in Koh Tao in November last year. I did it with Coral Grand Divers which I highly recommend . It is situated right on Sairee Beach, and is praised by National Geographics also. There are many other diving schools on the island, however i suggest you pay the extra money. Alternatively, I believe Davey Jones's Locker is also good, although the accommodation and pool isn't as nice!

Thanks for the recommendation! I ended up finding French Kiss Divers in Koh Tao. They have an open water certificate for a reasonable price and the ratings on TripAdvisor are all great.
