TRIP TO EUROPE IN JULY 2015

Hi,

Wow, such ambitious plans. May I ask why Legnica? It isn't the most popular Polish city.

I am meeting our relatives, and in particular my first cousins for the first time in Poland? One of them lives in Legnica, so a visit to this city is a must. My other cousin lives in Szklarska Poreba which is a ski resort in the south of Poland, near the Czech Republic. Have you been to Poland?

2-3 days isn't long for either France or Switzerland. I'd recommend you cut some time from another stop, or forget France or Switzerland altogether.
If you do go to Switzerland especially, weather is very hit and miss- you could have rain and low cloud for 3 straight days, which obscures the beautiful alps. Lucerne & surrounds are beautiful, I definitely recommend if you have the time.
For Spain, if you're looking to do the east coast then I'd drop Madrid and fly to Barcelona or Girona etc on the east coast. A week isn't long though, so you might want to stick to a region eg. Costa Brava and Barcelona/Girona, rather than trying to see the whole east coast.
Hope this helps

Wow amazing countries you got there. I can surely assure you that those are amazing countries to visit with. I've been to those places you've mentioned, that was my backpacking days with friends. I wish I could share all my details here what I did and what should you do when you visit them, or you may check out my personal travel blog, -snip- is my brand of traveling because I'm into cycling and backpacking.

Good luck to your trip.

Hi,

Instead going from Krakow to Legnica you can also go to Wrocław (capital of Lower Silesia) and from Wrocław it is only 80 km to Legnica.

Also, when you are in Legnica you should also come to Wrocław (easily by train) and visit our Old Town (http://www.tripadvisor.com/Attraction_Review-g274812-d287877-Reviews-Old_Town_Historic_Center-Wroclaw_Lower_Silesia_Province_Southern_Poland.html), Hala Stulecia (http://halastulecia.pl/en/), afrykarium (http://afrykarium.com.pl/gallery-s105.html), multimedial fountain (http://www.wroclawskafontanna.pl/#/STRONA%20G%C5%81%C3%93WNA), Ostrów Tumski (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ostr%C3%B3w_Tumski,_Wroc%C5%82aw), botanic garden, japanese garden and many many other interesting places.

And from Berlin to Wrocław you can go by Polski Bus, it is a direct connection, a few times a day.

Wow! Those places sound amazing. We are Aussies and are actually doing something similar in May this year. But we have chosen the tour option as we are travelling for 8 weeks. But you will have a fab time. We did London, Spain and Paris last year, and Spain is amazing. Which Coast are you planning to visit? Barcelona is incredible - preferred it to Madrid, but loved the Costa del Sol (stayed there for 2 was travelling), it's a must visit at some point (if you can).

Why don't you go to Prague instead of France/Switzerland? We chose Prague over Switzerland this trip because of its location compared to the places we are visiting. Then you're closer to the borders of the other countries which may help you with your travel plans, and costs. We have heard that Prague is amazing and quite cheap compared to other places. Could be a win win for you both!
