Fastest/cheapest way to travel Mediterranean

Looking for a cheap, fast, yet relaxing way to see most of the Mediterranean in September/October 2015. I can only get so much time off of work and thinking about doing some kind of coastal trip along turkey, Greece, Croatia, Italy, etc. any suggestions??

Hi,

I come from Greece so I would recommend my country to visit as more island as you can!

Plan A

After Visiting Athens in less than 30 minutes you can be at the Athens airport (Eleftherios venizelos) there you can grab a flight for any beautiful island you want. Begin from Mykonos or Santorini for example or Folegandros. (In september & october wherever you choose to go is not this crowded so the relaxation you need can be easily reached) Of course in case you choose plane for your transportation you need to book the sooner its possible so you can achieve cheap flights. I trust -snip- to book my tickets cause it is supposed to search the cheapest flights in market.

Otherwise

Plan B

After visiting Athens ask for ferries schedule that leaving from Piraeus Port (that is only 20 minute far from the center of Athens) . The only thing you have to do is to check the ferry lines. Not all the ships go to every island but you can reach more than 4 islands from one to another.

my favorite ferry line is this piraeus port -Paros - Naksos - Ios - Santorini

did I help?
I ' m here For any farther questions

hi, i came from Italy. i recommend Venice, Florence, Rome (just a couple of night in each of them because the accomodation is expensive, especially in venice). You can move to each city by train (www.trenitalia.com). Than in Rome, take a low cost airline ticket ( easyjet.com or ryanair.com, it's usually around 50$) and go to sicily: it's cheap, the weather will be awesome, the food is great, the landscape are amazing as well as architectures, wonderful beaches. Over in sicily a must is Taormina village and its amphitheater.
have a great time

We traveled to Turkey, Greece, and Italy in the summer of 2014. We used local airlines: Pegagus, Aegean, and Turkist Airlines and found them to be economical and pleasant. In Greece we used the local bug service and found it to be very modern and a pleasant way to get around. We also used the high speed ferries in the Greek Isles. They were comfortable, but you feel a little like a member of the 'herd' when getting on and off. We also used the trains in Italy quite extensively and as long as they don't have a strike planned, they are very nice and not to expensive. We preferred the local trains to a Eurail Pass since we were doing some cycle touring.

You can board a cruise ship and visit many Mediterranean ports in 3 - 4 countries
