You can do Cambodia fist then Vietnam via speedboat, flight or bus. There are some kinds of transportation you can choose depend on your budget. in Vietnam, there are many places to see as Mekong Delta, Hoian, Hanoi, Halong Bay, Sapa....

I love Halong Bay, Hanoi, Mekong of Vietnam. I love Siem Reap with Angkor and Tonle Sap of Cambodia.
August is very nice weather in the North of Vietnam.
