no, Viet Nam does not have any desert, but this site sound like Mui Ne, it has sea and beautiful sand hills . Mui Ne is located near Phan Thiet , you need to land on HCM city first if you are not a local, then it will take you around 5 to 6 hours to travel there.

I guess you maybe mean Mui Ne? It's a beach of which it's sand dunes extend for a long distance inland. It's a pretty nice place and good for sand boarding on the dunes. There's also decent kitesurfing and similar activities off from the beach too. It's a beautiful area in which the dunes are different colours depending on which stretch of beach you are on. It's in between Ho Chi Minh City and Nha Trang and a major stop on the bus routes so easily accessible. There are also hostels, hotel and guesthouses in the town so you have much choice.

This is Mui Ne, Phan Thiet in Vietnam.
There are not any desert in Vietnam. It is only a small golden sand hill near Mui Ne beach. You eventhough, drive motobike into curve sand slope.
Moreover, Mui Ne has a lot of other activities which is very excited as morning marketing, spring, red sand hill, white sand hill, Mt. Ta Cu, Virgin beach, fishing village, fresh seafood, etc.

You can come to Mui Ne - Phan Thiet to see most beach and sand dune but not desert. It is very beautiful, also have large lake near white sand dune

It's not a huge sand dune but it's something to visit and get a picture (and understanding) of the whole landscape of Mui Ne. Make sure your tour includes Fairy Springs and White Sand Dunes as well!

If you want visit both of them you can go to Mui Ne- Ninh Thuan.
You can visit the website -snip- to get the visa on arrival, after that you book a plan ticket to HCM City and use bus to there.

I don't think so such place exist but the given reviews here about it such place exist, i would also like to visit such place as it would be most wonderful.
