Hi all,
Mike,
I tried the 'accommodation' option here on TP, but did not get many in your price range. You might look at or . Good luck.
Thanks Vegasmike. Will have a look at them but it depends on how the situation is in Bangkok when we land. I arrive on the 2nd May, do you think that the situation is likely to have improved by then?
If not, is Bangkok still fine or should we book a flight/train somewhere else that same day?
Thanks,
Mike
KSR suffered badly from the riots. The red shirt anarchists are said to have moved elsewhere but may go back to that area without warning. They have infested other areas. Best stay away from Bangkok if you can till the troubles are sorted out.
Mike,
May is still 2 weeks away and hopefully the protests will be over. If not, you can always go straight from the airport to Pattaya. Pattaya is not for everyone, but many love it. Great , many , , a nice beach option over on . My as a KL entry. After Pattaya you can catch a bus to one of the BKK bus stations and travel to any part of Thailand.
Good luck with your planning.
Hi all,
Was wondering if someone could recommend a budget guesthouse in the Soi Rambuttri/ West Banglamphu/ Khao San Road area with safety deposit boxes?
I have been looking Lamphu House, Shambara Boutique etc and am looking to spend no more than 600-700 baht for a double. But less if better! Thanks!
Mike
Most guesthouses have deposit boxes.
