Hello,
China now has so many airlines that it's near impossible to give you an answer if you don't list the destinations you'd like to visit. I would start with the Cathay/Dragonair website. Cathay does have an All Asia Pass for those of us in the USA, but I'm not at all sure about their UK business? More than likely that you'll be using several airlines if you want the best price/most convenient connections. Use an airfare search engine like Momondo.com - it will list the airlines serving the routes in question.
If you want to fly London to Beijing directly , I think the only choice is Air China ( the airline based on China)
Otherwise , you may fly London - Hong Kong - Beijing by Cathay + Dragon Air ( both airline based on HK)
For domestic air , the best choice will be CA ( air china) , MU ( China Eastern ) and CZ ( China Southern).
They fly most of the destination in China.
I am not suer does there any flight can fly Guangzhou to London...
But .. why end the tour at Guangzhou?
I dont think there have any special to see ( just my opinion...)
Thanks everyone esspessially Eliz_l that's really useful i will do some more research into this
I am actually visiting family across China so may be able to start in HK anyway but i must foy from Guangzhou as the family i am visiting are only around the last few days before i have to get back to the UK for work.
China southern flies to Paris via Guangzhou the last I checked, but not London. But really, the biggest hub in the area is Honhkong, you can get a bus to Hongkong, not necessarily from Guangzhou city but I mean down at southern china area and get Cathay or British airways or whatever back to London.
By the way, British airways fly direct to Beijing as well, so why not get a round trip deal with them? fly to Beijing, and leave from Hongkong.
Oh wait, you have to leave from Guangzhou (I should read b4 i post), then i'd say the best bet is get a train to Shenzhen and a bus/train across over to Hongkong. Will knock you back about 200 yuan and half a day of travel, but not that bad really, right? You might even want to spend a few days at hongkong.
