Get yourself over to the main bus station on North Pattaya Rd. A friend told me there is now a bus right to Sai Tai Mai or Southern Bus Station. Don't know the departure times, but you should go over there and check. Most of the overnight buses to Surat Thani leave around 6pm. You may be able to book a combination bus-boat ticket right there at the Southern Station. Hope this helps with your planning
