We will be flying into Milan and taking the train to the Cinque Terra area - we have 10 days total. Any suggestions as to how many days to spend in Cinque Terra and other day trips? It's my first time there.
10 days is a LOT for cinque terre. It's 5 touristy villages connected by a 5 hour trail (which should be done in 1 day since they sell day passes to the trail). I think a few days should be plenty, maybe 2 villages per day and a day on the beach.
If you haven't booked the train yet (or it accepts stopover), consider stopovers between Milan and Cinque Terre.
