I've read a previous thread on this topic and am still confused.
In case anyone else is looking for the answer to this, it seems you have to check on the photo page the option to show these in the public gallery AND wait a while. Mine eventually appeared, but it wasn't on the next refresh. It wasn't until I checked back later in the day that they appeared, but it does work.
If I'm not mistaken, there's a cache on the query which is why the photos don't show immediately. Glad it's sorted now!
