I just had a post edited by over zealous mods. read your own rules please:
Yes, I removed that link. We exercise a high degree of caution with new members. People pretend to be genuine customers all the time.
Since you're in the hotel marketing industry, the scepticism about your impartiality is just greatly increased. If you want to post links here, build some trust first.
Totally disagree but then i am powerless, so you win. Enjoy life.
What was the place you mentioned again?
One of about 37 hotels i have stayed at in Phuket in my 14 years living in Thailand........along with many years in Vietnam, Saudi Arabia. Just creating my travel map on your site now so you can see your error. No worries.......wait and see the map etc.
What was the name of it?
A name change doesn't help to our scepticism as well
If you check my original name was St_Bangkok as it is on ALL forums i am on. I changed it out of confusion after confirming an email address and it then asking me for a name....now i m learning how to use the system i realise i made an error and changed the user name and reverted back to the one i used when i joined. But hey, let's not let facts get in the way of a good conspiracy theory.
End of line.
People might find the email exchange I had with this spammer entertaining:

Question is where are all my pictures i spent ages uploading and that did appear earlier? Deleted by any chance :-)
Me:
There's three photos on your profile and only record of three photos in our system. What were the photos you uploaded earlier? I didn't remove them, but then another moderator might have if they seemed promotional.
David:
Then another moderator need to be a good boy and replace them as they are pictures i took and can prove as much...thanks.
Seriously guys, stop the paranoia.
Me:
I'm sorry David, but these forum policies work well for us and have done so for almost 10 years now. It may seem paranoid to you, but if you were in our shoes you'd come to the same conclusion. We get so many fake reviews from hotel marketers that your industry just has a bad, bad name.
When someone who works for a hotel marketing company comes along and recommends a hotel in their first post, it's not paranoia - it's common sense to take precautions.
Anyway, I had a look at some of those photos that were removed. Photos of the Sawaddi Patong Resort and Sea Koh Samui, both properties that you market for: -snip-
I think the moderator made the right choice.
Who do you really think you're kidding here?
David :
I do NOT work for anyone, i work for myself freelancing for many people, hotels, car companies, property developers. My websites are
-snip-
When you email that address i will reply.......proving you wrong and will then await an apology
Thanks now
me:
Whether you freelance for them or not, your profile says:
"In my line of work i am privileged to see many of the hotels and resorts in this amazing country, not just the ones that i work with and represent via BHMAsia"
And you entered -snip- as your url in your profile also.
And you're going to try and tell me you have nothing to gain financially from promoting the properties on that website now?
David wrote:
Check my twitter st_bangkok
check my trip advisor same name and also lonely planet, i speak of shed loads of hotels all over the world, you think i get paid for that........come along now fez up, you made an error, be a man.
Me:
Oh come on, you self-admitted that you represent these hotels.
The only person you need to prove wrong is yourself. The fact LP or TA lets you get away with it is because they are more lazy when it comes to moderation. We have our user's best interest at heart and a self-confessed hotel marketer promoting hotels for a company that he admits to representing without disclosing this is just not a trustworthy viewpoint.
Further more, your linked in page admits that you are the eBusiness Exec at BHM Asia:
"As well as running the X2 Residences sales department i also work with the management company who run all the X2 Resorts and many others here in Thailand, in my capacity of eBusiness Exec. My main tasks and focus are SEO of all resort and company websites, ensuring content is accurate and well written and that the brand image and message in all cases is communicated across properly."
David:
OK, show me where i self admitted i represent these hotels?
Me:
It's all spelled out right there.
Your LinkedIn Page says you work for BHM Asia and that your focus is the SEO of the resort / company websites.
The resorts are listed on BHM Asia's site. Must say, you don't cover your tracks very well for a spammer
David:
Sorry you are obviously a bit of an idiot, you are not looking at MY linkedin page at all. Search Blue Orange Asia then you will find my linedin account, i never use it.
Me:
Hahaha
When you see the lengths some of these spammers go, it's just clear you can hardly trust the stuff entered on other travel sites!!
