Hows Europe to travel in February?

Hey... planning for my honeymoon... first week of Feb. Is Europe good, in terms of weather and activities?

It depends whereabouts in Europe! Which part are you thinking of going to?

Paris, France, London... may be. Haven't worked on the itinerary yet...

Places like northern France, England and Scandinavian countries are pretty cold and usually quite rainy during Feb, sometimes snowy too. Your best bet is Southern Europe - Southern Spain, Italy and places surrounding there.

Northern Europe can be cold or it can be COLD then and if heavy snow, some places can be snowed in and travelling very difficult.

You could try the Canary Islands, somewhere like Tenerife in the area between Playa Americas and Los Cristianos. Not that much to do there but generally sun every day and the sea warm enough that people are swimming in it.

Southern Spain and Portugal can be good or better in the day time (though some days are wet) but the nights are cold and the sea even colder.

Not a good idea to travel Europe in the middle of the winter as weather can be really bad and your trip might encounter some unexpected changes due the snow in some parts of Europe mean some of the trains/buses/roads might be cancelled/unavailable.
As per activities I would recommend you to choose some ski resort in France + visiting Paris since it will be your honeymoon
Hope you both will enjoy your holiday, and have fun!

Thanks guys... will keep these pointers noted while finalizing the plan...

February in europe , it is very cold period and snow as well, i don't think winter time spend your holiday in europe . specially in paris, very bad wether in winter. but if you need to do some activities, you visit this site it will help you. most tourists going to spend their ski holiday in south of france.

like the other already said. Europe can be quite could in Feb.
If you want to do something outside w/o a heavy coat, mittens and a scarf go to the Canary Island. It´s still Spain, but close to Africa. Islands like Gran Canaria, Tenerife and Fuerteventura offer not only sun and beach, but have a beautiful landscape, theme parks (if you are into them) and a lot of sport activities.
You could also visit Italy and the rest of Spain.
What do you two thinking of doing? A lot so sightseeing, sports, museums, relaxing things like massages, spa..?
