Looking at transport on May 8 2013 from our London hotel to Southampton Cruise Terminal. Was hoping to return from Southampton May 22 2013 going back to our London Hotel and have seen some trips that visit Stonehenge, Bath and Windsor Castle. However cant find anyone doing this on our required dates. Looks like we may just have to get a bus unless any other ideas? Did look into private transfers but prices very expensive.
Trains run from London Waterloo to Southampton, from where you can get a taxi to the terminal. Trains start at 5:30 am and take 90-125 minutes. Off peak prices are about £35 for a single and £60 for peak times.
Yes, travel in the UK is very expensive.
I too, will be cruising from Southampton whilst staying in London previously and noticed that you can also take a bus which is considerably cheaper. However, I do have some questions about that, primarily regarding the amount of luggage that is allowed, the duration of the trip, the frequency and where it starts-ends. Can anyone direct me to the correct site or answer? I am having difficulty finding detailed information.
