Is anyone heading to oz at the start of September?
I land on the 7th in sydney travelling with a working holiday visa and plan to hang round there for a while then head up the east coast but just going to see what I feel like when I get there.
Travelling solo so would be nice to get to know some people before I set off!

I'm going to Oz the start of September!! I've still to book my flights just got my visa today but I think I land on the 7th in Sydney. Then was hoping to go to Perth at some point. I'm not sure.
I'm also travelling alone! Scary!

I know same!! Although I'm glad in a sense because I need to save up as much money as possible. Slightly freaking out about the money aspect.
I'm not sure how long I'll stay in Sydney just as long as I feel really. I don't have a plan at all, just going to take it as it comes. I'm going to have to get work though so I can afford it.
Was also hoping to flat share in Sydney or something as it would work out cheaper in the long run. What about you?

I'm the same! Literally working all summer to get as much money as possible!
Going to have to get a job pretty quick there too.
And as long as I feel really too, haven't really looked into flat sharing but I'd be up for that if I ended up staying a while. I've just booked into a hostel for a few nights when I get there to start with.
And yeah between 6 months to a year not to sure yet tbh

Do you know how much you're going to be taking? I'm so worried that I wont have enough.
I'm going to try and enjoy the first two weeks and get settled in and then look for a job.
What hostel are you booked in? Are you doing anything through a company?

Blue parrot backpackers - it has loads of really good reviews so thought I'd book in there for a few nights then see from there. I decided not to go through a company cause I need the money and I've heard it's just as easy to do everything yourself
And yeah that would be good!
Will be soooo much fun, I can't wait!

I'm going on my own too, havent booked flights yet as I'm going to Canada in July so think its cheaper to go from there and just lose my flight home. I've got a job in Sydney as a nanny starting on Sept 12th so want to do some travelling for maybe a fortnight before I start.

Hey guys i'm off on my own to Sydney on the 1st July so if i am hanging around there still in September would be nice to grab some drinks. Hopefully i might know my way around a bit by then if i am staying there. Plan on going up the Coast to Cairns via Brisbane at some point but no real plan.
As for the money i thought it was £2000 what ever that goes over to $ i am not sure...

Sounds like a plan! I'm planning on travelling up the coast to when I've saved up some more money from working.
You might be right about the money tbh haha I'm just going to save as much as possible
