This summer I will travel to Australia and I would like to collect some information on cheap accommodation in the region of Sydney or maybe Brisbane. Thanks!
There is an accommodation link at the top of the page. One is pretty much as good as another. You just need to check if it is near where you want to be, if it is near some kind of public transport and if you are arriving very late, will you be able to check in?
Don't expect "budget" in Sydney. Australia is an expensive place to visit.
As to Brisbane, probably my least favourite place in Australia. Along the coast down south is nice.
yeah you dont want to be living in Brisbane. go to Perth its a great city!
I agree with Cyberia and robhallam, you should choose Sydney! If I were you I would definitely stay at a hostel but there are other solutions check out the big aggregator sites and -snip-

Choosing a place to stay will really come down to your preferences. Do you just want the cheapest option available? Or do you want it to a popular place to stay as well? If you enter your dates that you need a place, you can use the slider on our page to choose what matters most to you and properties will be sorted accordingly.
If location matters more than anything, use the Map View tab to select where you want to be near. All properties will then be sorted according to their distance from that location.
