I lived in Paris for sometime. For me the main attractions, in addition to the usual landmarks like Eiffel tower, Louvre, etc., are
1. Montmartre (in my opinion, among the most beautiful places in Paris)
2. Jardin des Tuileries (Tuileries garden)
3. Walking from Jardin des Tuileries to Grand Palais and Pont Alexandre III bridge
4. Catacombs
5. Musee d'Orsay
6. Ile St. Louis
7. Rue Mouffetard (market street, mainly selling cheese, bakery, etc.)
In addition to these, the Macarons of Laduree and macarons, pastries of Pierre Herme are also among the best.
