HEy guys, it's been a while...
Ft. Myers is mainly a retirement area, but the beaches there are great. Close by in Tampa are the Busch Gardens Amusement Park and also the baseball stadium (Tropicana Field) where the Tampa Bay Rays, a professional baseball team plays. The other popular beaches are in Clearwater and at St. Petersburg beach.
One hour east (driving) is Orlando and its many attractions (Disney World, Church Street Station, Universal Studios, Sea World), and two hours south is the Everglades, where you can take a wind boat tour, which is always a blast.
