traveling to australia on my own in september with no plan

Hi All,

Mate I'm planning on going on my own. Everyone says the same to me. I think you have to bear in mind that you are planning on doing something that so very few people actually do.

I've not found anyone to travel with, but there's going to be people out there.

I'm looking at heading out sept/oct time. Cannot wait, excited doesn't even begin!

Andrew

Hey! I'm travelling to Australia on the 8th October. Starting in Cairns and working down to Sydney on a bus pass. I've heard that its really easy to find work in Sydney and Surfers Paradise as they are aimed at tourists I'm going to be arriving into Sydney on Christmas eve and have no plans after that!

yeah i haven't even decided exactly where i am going to start yet just seems like Sydney would be an easy place to earn money. i would love to be in Sydney for new years but wouldn't want to stay there from September till new year so may have to find another place to start and work my way down there.

Hey that was me who posted but I'm on my other account now! You could look into getting one of the Greyhound bus passes, they're a great way to travel if you don't want to stick to a certain plan and don't want to spend loads of money! That's what I've got

ok i will have to look in to that sounds like a good idea. are you going out there on you own? i also want to do the 3 months farm work to get the option of an extra 3 months and do not have a clue where is best to do this haha

Going to be with a friend from 21st October till 2nd jan but after that I'm on my own! Ive actually heard that western Australia (Perth etc) is a lot better for finding agricultural work than the east coast, however I'm sure there will be work on east coast, maybe just harder to find!

that's good then im sure you would have met loads of people by the time they leave. really! i will have to look into it more don't want to end up on the wrong side of the country haha

Hopefully yeah! Bit worried about being on my own! Don't take what I say as gospel, I may be wrong!!x
