Australia - March/April 2014

Hello,

Sounds like you have a good idea of where you will go. To be honest I think a month and a half is a good amount of time to travel Sydney to Darwin. You will probably hit the main beach spots - and anything else you want to see. South of Darwin is meant to be really beautiful.

Tours are always a good option - I can not imagine doing the East Coast without finding yourself on [at least] a couple... Fraser Island, Whitsundays and so on.

Thanks for the advice Donna! I don't think I'll hit the East Coast though, since the route is mainly composed of great beaches (which is something I usually love to see btw). But don't get me wrong, we have plenty of those here in Brazil, so it's really not a lot to write home about.

What I'd really like to see is the Outback, the Blue Mountains, the Great Ocean Road, Uluru, the australian unique scenery and wildlife, which is why I'm planning to go on the Sidney-Adelaide-Darwin route. The only issue I'm having with this plan is that I won't get to dive in the Great Barrier Reef unless I take a flight from Darwin to Cairns. I've done some research and I've found the airfares to be quite expensive for such a short flight. Do you think there's a way I can do all these things without spending a lot of money/time?
